Buying into Long Valley Farm

The value proposition…

  • We are registered as a Trust which purchased the farm in 2010
  • We are currently 5 families looking to add 3 more families at this stage

R1.5 million buys you:

  •  a proportionate (approx. 12%) share in the ownership of the farm and the assets of the trust
  •  the right to build a house (80sm) and live on the farm – there is currently accommodation to rent while you build
  •  the right to plant and harvest organic food
  •  registration as a trustee and to nominate a beneficiary

There is a currently a R3 000 per month levy per ‘vested right’ to cover electricity, water, insurance and staff.

There may be adhoc payments from time to time to cover expenses like a solar river pump, fire pump, communal property roof repairs etc.
These are discussed and mutually agreed.

The investor as a community member has the responsibility of attending regular trustee meetings – online or |
in-person and to do some community work every week. This could be hands on – building, repairing, growing or admin, financial, legal, marking, hospitality depending on your skills and passion.
